In 2007 I was fortunate to secure the role as General Sales Manager at CMI Toyota and in 2011 I gained the promotion to Branch Manager of CMI Toyota Adelaide.  I consider myself someone who leads by example, genuinely cares for our staff and guests, I am very competitive and driven but at the same time thrive with team success. I look forward to working with the TMCA staff and other participants to build my skill and knowledge base and interact openly with likeminded people from our dynamic and passionate industry.  I am very much “in” the business and I look forward to some professional time away from the day to day to work on strategic skills and thinking."

        "For the past 9 years I have resided in the beautiful town of Port Lincoln, South Australia.  I am a mother to my amazing son who is 16.  My husband is the Dealer Principal at my dealership. My current position description is that of Guest Experience Manager, but I wear many hats within the dealership, from Stock Control, Registration Clerk, Internal Sales & Fleet Policy Auditor,  and of course all things Guest Experience (both internal and external) just to name a few.   I have a passion for learning and then teaching what I know to those around me.  I particularly enjoy learning about the successful businesses who are the leaders in their field, and then using this knowledge to train staff and enhance the experience for our guest so that we have both guests’ for life and strong employee retention.  To date my career highlight would be in 2013 when I won the National Skills competition and was crowned the Guest Experience National Champion. Just to give you a bit of background about me I'll tell you a little version of my life story. I went to local co'ed schools with more of a mixed race . I feel this taught me to relate easily to everyone and I created a lot of friends. I left school to become a car painting apprentice as cars were an interest to me. While learning my apprenticeship I had learnt quite a lot about the mechanical and panel work side of the industry. I had also got into motorsport  and raced in the muscle car class and loved it. A little after completing my apprenticeship I opened up a business. It was a vehicle modification parts and accessories shop. In that time I had a healthy son and loved being a father. After 4 years with my shop a few similar franchises came to town. I couldn’t compete with their pricing and volume. I got offered  a job at my best friends dads multifranchise dealership as a salesman. I eventually got the Nissan/Suzuki sales managers job. I worked out that as I got older I needed to stay fit to live a better lifestyle. Eating whatever I wanted was no longer an option and weight started piling on.  So I took up cycling as it was my dad's interest to and we got time together. I got the opportunity later to work for the local Toyota Dealership and thought it was a good move. I started as a used salesman and eventually took the General Sales Managers job."
