The countdown begins for the all-new 3rd Generation Toyota Kluger SUV to be launched in Australia in March 2014.
Since 1st Generation Toyota Kluger launched in Australia in 2003, over 100,000 Klugers have been sold making it one of Australia’s favorite and top selling SUVs.
## Development concept of the New Kluger is “BEYOND HERO”
Rather than just trying to introduce another “hero” into the Australian SUV market, the Kluger development team wanted to create an entirely new Kluger with a prominent, outstanding presence. Raising the overall strength as an SUV that offer superior styling, driving performance, interior design and practicality.
By becoming superior in each of these areas the new Kluger is beyond a “hero” and positioned above competitors who are “hero’s” in one particular area such as styling, practicality or technology.

The 7-seater Toyota Kluger package is capped off with an upgraded powerful 3.5L V6 engine mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission and available with the new Dynamic Torque Control All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system. Kluger’s Dynamic Torque Control AWD system automatically shifts from front-wheel drive (FWD) to AWD when accelerating or when sensors detect wheel slippage. The driver is able to view the torque-distribution settings on the meter display. More information will be provided leading up to the Australian launch of the all-new 2014 Toyota Kluger.
