The Blind Spot Monitor operates by emitting a beam either side and to the rear of the rear bumper. This beam detects any metallic item within the detection field.

When towing, the towed trailer may enter the field of detection of the Blind Spot Monitor causing a continuous signal or a signal when the vehicle turns a corner or a bend in the road. It is recommended that when towing, the Blind Spot Monitor is turned off to avoid unnecessary Blind Spot Monitor Activation.
