# 🚀 ProgressPulse Update System - Quick Start Guide

## ✅ System Status: FULLY IMPLEMENTED

Your ProgressPulse app now has a complete iPhone-style update system with push notifications and real-time progress tracking!

## 🚀 How to Use the Update System

### **For Development/Testing:**

1. **Create a demo update:**
   ```bash
   npm run demo-update
   ```

2. **Start the app:**
   ```bash
   npm run dev
   ```

3. **Test the update flow:**
   - Open http://localhost:5173
   - Go to Settings → Updates
   - Click "Check for Updates"
   - Watch the iPhone-style update process!

### **For Production Updates:**

1. **For bug fixes (1.0.0 → 1.0.1):**
   ```bash
   npm run version:patch
   ```

2. **For new features (1.0.0 → 1.1.0):**
   ```bash
   npm run version:minor
   ```

3. **For breaking changes (1.0.0 → 2.0.0):**
   ```bash
   npm run version:major
   ```

### **Manual Update Publishing:**
```bash
npm run build
npm run publish-update
```

## 📱 User Experience Flow

1. **Developer publishes update** → `npm run version:patch`
2. **Push notification sent** → "🚀 ProgressPulse Update Available"
3. **User receives notification** → Taps notification
4. **Redirected to Settings** → Updates section opens
5. **User clicks "Update"** → Download starts with progress bar
6. **Real-time progress** → Shows speed, percentage, time remaining
7. **Installation completes** → Success notification + app reload
8. **Update history updated** → Version logged with changelog

## 🎬 Demo the System Right Now!

1. **Run the demo:**
