#### š„ļø Running Locally
To run calculations locally, you'll need:
1. A GitHub Personal Access Token with `repo` scope
2. Set environment variables manually
```bash
# ā ļø Note: Local testing is optional.
# The command runs automatically in GitHub Actions with secure tokens.
# If you still want to test locally:
export GITHUB_TOKEN="your_personal_access_token"
export GITHUB_REPO="owner/repo"
npx near-protocol-rewards calculate
```
> š” **Best Practice**: For security, we recommend using the GitHub Actions workflow instead of running locally. This ensures tokens are managed securely by GitHub.
## š Upgrading to v0.3.0+
### Breaking Changes
1. Configuration simplified:
- `projectId` no longer required
- `nearAccount` field removed
- Only GitHub-related fields needed
### How to Upgrade
1. Update your package:
```bash
npm install near-protocol-rewards@latest
```
2. Update your configuration:
```typescript
// Old configuration
const sdk = new GitHubRewardsSDK({
projectId: 'your-project', // Remove this
nearAccount: 'your.near', // Remove this
githubToken: process.env.GITHUB_TOKEN,
githubRepo: 'owner/repo',
timeframe: 'week'
});
// New configuration
const sdk = new GitHubRewardsSDK({
githubToken: process.env.GITHUB_TOKEN,
githubRepo: 'owner/repo',
timeframe: 'week'
});
```
