        'Shri Sutaji said, "O sages! I tell you another story, you all listen carefully — there was a king named Tungadhwaj who was always concerned about the people of his kingdom. He suffered a lot by ignoring the offerings of Lord Satyanarayan. Once the king, after killing wild animals in the forest, came under a banyan tree and saw the cowherds worshipping Shri Satyanarayanaji with devotion, but due to pride he neither went there nor saluted Lord Satyadev. When the cowherds placed the Prasad in front of him, he left the Prasad and after reaching the city he saw that his whole kingdom had been destroyed; he realized that Lord Satyadev had done all this out of anger. When he came back and went near the cowherds and after worshipping him ritually and took the prasad, by the grace of Lord Satyanarayana everything became the same as before and after enjoying happiness for a long time, he attained salvation after death.',

        'श्री सूतजी बोले, "हे ऋषिगण! मैं एक और कथा कहता हूँ, आप सभी ध्यान से सुनो — सदा प्रजा के लिये चिन्तित तुंगध्वज नाम का एक राजा था। उसने भगवान सत्यनारायण का प्रसाद त्यागकर बहुत कष्ट पाया। एक समय राजा वन में वन्य पशुओं को मारकर बड़ के वृक्ष के नीचे आया। वहाँ उसने ग्वालों को भक्तिभाव से बन्धु-बान्धवों सहित श्री सत्यनारायणजी का पूजन करते देखा। परन्तु राजा देखकर भी अभिमान के कारण न तो वहाँ गया और न ही सत्यदेव भगवान को नमस्कार ही किया। जब ग्वालों ने भगवान का प्रसाद उसके सामने रखा तो वह प्रसाद छोड़कर अपने नगर को चला गया। नगर में पहुँचकर उसने देखा कि उसका सारा राज्य नष्ट हो गया है। वह समझ गया कि यह सब भगवान सत्यदेव ने रुष्ट होकर किया है। तब वह वन में वापस आया तथा ग्वालों के समीप जाकर विधिपूर्वक पूजन कर प्रसाद ग्रहण किया तो सत्यनारायण की कृपा से सब कुछ पहले के समान ही हो गया तथा दीर्घ काल तक सुख भोगकर मरणोपरान्त वह मोक्ष को प्राप्त हुआ।',

        'An old Brahmin named Shatananda took birth as Sudama and attained Vaikuntha by worshipping and serving Lord Krishna. A king named Ulkamukha became King Dashratha and attained salvation by worshipping Shri Ranganath. A Vaishya named Sadhu was born as the virtuous and truthful king Mordhwaja and attained Vaikuntha by cutting his son with a saw. Maharaja Tungadhwaj became Swayambhu Manu. He attained Vaikuntha Dham by inculcating many people in the devotion of God. In the next life, the woodcutter became a Nishada king named Guha (गुह), who made all his births better by serving the feet of Lord Rama.',

        'शतानन्द नामक वृद्ध ब्राह्मण ने सुदामा के रूप में जन्म लेकर श्रीकृष्ण की भक्ति एवम् सेवा कर बैकुण्ठ प्राप्त किया। उल्कामुख नामक महाराज का राजा दशरथ के रूप में जन्म हुआ तथा वह श्री रंगनाथ भगवान का पूजन कर मोक्ष को प्राप्त हुये। साधु नाम के वैश्य ने धर्मात्मा तथा सत्यप्रतिज्ञ राजा मोरध्वज बनकर अपने पुत्र को आरे से चीरकर बैकुण्ठ धाम प्राप्त किया। महाराज तुंगध्वज स्वयम्भू मनु बने तथा उन्होंने बहुत से लोगों को भगवान की भक्ति में लीन कराकर बैकुण्ठ धाम प्राप्त किया। लकड़हारा अगले जन्म में गुह नामक निषाद राजा बना, जिसने भगवान राम के श्री चरणों की सेवा कर अपने सभी जन्मों का उद्धार कर लिया।',
