// Batch B — the recurring TITHI-VRATS: observances pinned not to a once-a-year
// date but to a tithi that returns every lunar month (or fortnight). Each names
// the `tithi` it falls on and describes its `recurrence` in WORDS (never a
// computed date); `paksha` is set only where the fortnight is fixed (Pradoṣa
// recurs in BOTH pakṣas, so it carries none). Deity cross-links to the roster
// where one presides (Pradoṣa/Masik Śivarātri → śiva, Sankaṣṭī → gaṇeśa,
// Pūrṇimā/Satyanārāyaṇa → viṣṇu); Amāvasyā is a pitṛ (ancestor) observance tied
// to no single roster deity → `null`.

// Researched sense-summaries, cross-checked ≥2 sources, shipped `reviewPending`.
// Per the Batch-A precedent, `story`/`storySource` are OPTIONAL here: present
// where a single text is confidently attributable (Sankaṣṭī → Gaṇeśa Purāṇa;
// Satyanārāyaṇa → Skanda Purāṇa Revā-khaṇḍa), softer where the account is
// multi-Purāṇic (Pradoṣa, Masik Śivarātri), and absent where there is no single
// narrative at all (Amāvasyā ships significance-only). See SOURCES.md.

Worship of Shiva in that brief evening window is said to free one of sins and debts and to grant health, harmony, progeny, prosperity and finally liberation. By the weekday it falls on it takes a special colour: Soma (Monday) for peace and a longed-for child, Bhauma or Mangala (Tuesday) for relief from debt, disease and strife, Guru (Thursday) for wisdom, Shukra (Friday) for marital happiness, and Shani (Saturday) for release from karmic affliction — Soma and Shani Pradosha being held the most powerful.',

en: 'The day is told from the churning of the ocean. When the dreadful halahala poison rose and threatened all creation, Shiva drank it to save the worlds and held it in his throat, which turned blue — and so he is Nilakantha. The gods and demons, who in their haste for the nectar had begun the churning without first honouring Shiva, recognized their lapse on the Trayodashi and came to him at evening to beg forgiveness. Pleased, Shiva forgave them and, in the joy of that hour, danced his cosmic dance between the horns of Nandi — and the radiant Trayodashi dusk of that dance is the Pradosha, kept ever since as the time to worship him.',

en: 'At the Naimisha forest the sage Suta tells how Narada, grieved at the suffering of beings in the Kali age, asked Vishnu for an easy means of relief, and the Lord revealed the Satyanarayana Vrat. Its power is shown through those who kept it: a poor brahmana lifted from want, a woodcutter made prosperous, and above all the merchant Sadhu, who vowed the worship to gain a child and was blessed with a daughter, Kalavati — yet kept deferring the promised rite. For that neglect he and his son-in-law were falsely imprisoned and their wealth lost at sea, restored only when the women completed the vrat with faith; and a band of cowherds who once scorned its prasada regained their fortune only on partaking of it with devotion. The vrat\'s lesson is to keep one\'s vow and to honour the prasada.',
