### Fixed

- **Solution**: Completely removed `OnCreate`/`OnDestroy` lifecycle callbacks from both Android and iOS
- **Why**: Even with updated signatures (Function0), these callbacks still caused build failures on Expo SDK 53
- **Approach**: View reference management now 100% handled through Prop callbacks
- **Android**: 12 Props store view reference with `synchronized(viewLock)`
- **iOS**: `initialCenter` Prop stores view reference and sets module reference
- **Result**: Clean build on Expo SDK 53 with zero lifecycle callback conflicts
- **Backward Compatible**: Works perfectly on Expo SDK < 53 (Props always receive view parameter)
- **Trade-off**: No explicit lifecycle hooks, but view lifecycle is implicitly managed through Props

- **Issue**: `compilateDebugKotlin` failure on Expo 53 with `expo-modules-core@2.5.0`

- **Solution**: Updated lifecycle callbacks to match new signature on both Android and iOS

2. **Nullable Props**: Made `initialCenter`, `initialZoom`, `tileServerUrl` optional - prevents casting errors
3. **Thread Safety**: Added main thread checks to `setZoom` - prevents thread violation crashes
4. **Input Validation**: Added coordinate validation and try-catch blocks - prevents crashes from malformed data
#### π΄ CRITICAL: iOS Stability Improvements
1. **Nullable Props**: Made `initialCenter`, `initialZoom`, `tileServerUrl`, `clustering` optional
2. **Safe Unwrapping**: Removed force unwraps (`!`) in info window and location code
3. **Input Validation**: Added coordinate range validation in all parsing functions
4. **Type Safety**: Fixed `displayRoute` function signature to include `throws`

## [1.0.97] - 2025-11-03
- **π΄ CRITICAL: Android Layout Crash - Final Fix**
- **Solution:** Simplified `setupMapView()` to use `addView(mapView)` without any LayoutParams specification
- **Key insight:** DON'T override `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` - let parent (ExpoView) handle it correctly
- **Root cause:** React Native's Fabric renderer uses different layout types in different contexts. Forcing a specific LayoutParams type (either explicitly or via override) causes ClassCastException when the type doesn't match the parent's expectation
- **Correct approach:** Trust the parent's implementation - ExpoView knows its own layout type and will generate the correct LayoutParams automatically
- **Impact:** Android app no longer crashes on map view initialization with any React Native/Expo configuration
- Line 194: Simple `addView(mapView)` call (no explicit LayoutParams)
- **REMOVED** any `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` override attempts

### Fixed
- **π΄ CRITICAL: Android Layout Crash - Complete Fix**
- Fixed `android.widget.FrameLayout$LayoutParams cannot be cast to android.widget.LinearLayout$LayoutParams` error
- **Two-part solution:**
1. Simplified `setupMapView()`: Use `addView(mapView)` without explicit LayoutParams
2. **Added `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` override:** Returns correct `FrameLayout.LayoutParams` for ExpoView hierarchy
- **Root cause:** When `addView()` is called without params, parent's `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` generates the LayoutParams. Without override, wrong type could be generated, causing ClassCastException during measure/layout
- **Solution:** Override `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` to ensure correct type (FrameLayout.LayoutParams) is always returned
- **Impact:** Android app no longer crashes on map view initialization or during layout operations
- **Affected versions:** v1.0.94-v1.0.95 (if experiencing this crash)
- **Files modified:** `android/src/main/java/expo/modules/osmsdk/OSMMapView.kt`
- Line 194: Simple `addView(mapView)` call
- Lines 1471-1476: New `generateDefaultLayoutParams()` override
- **Why two parts needed:** First fix addressed explicit param setting, but didn't handle automatic param generation. Complete fix ensures correct type in all scenarios
