# Redis Authentication Environment Variable Whitelist Fix

## Issue Summary
CLI mode agent spawning was failing Redis authentication because the environment variable whitelist in `agent-spawn.ts` was missing three critical variables that enable Redis password authentication.

**Issue ID:** Agent authentication failures in CLI mode
**Severity:** Critical (all spawned workers fail)
**Fix Date:** 2025-11-18

## Root Cause
The `safeEnvVars` array in `/src/cli/agent-spawn.ts` (lines 274-291) was missing Redis authentication variables, causing spawned agent processes to lack the credentials needed to connect to Redis. The reference implementation in `agent-executor.ts` had the correct whitelist.

## Missing Variables
1. **`CFN_REDIS_PASSWORD`** - Primary Redis password variable for authentication
2. **`REDIS_PASSWORD`** - Fallback Redis password variable
3. **`PWD`** - Working directory context for agent execution

## Solution Applied

### File Modified

- **Lines Changed:** 274-294 (safeEnvVars array)

### Changes
Added three variables to the whitelist while maintaining alphabetical grouping:

## Validation

### TypeScript Compilation
✅ Successfully compiled 201 files with SWC (702.21ms)
✅ No compilation errors
✅ No type errors

### Security Analysis
✅ Security scanner confidence: 0.9/1.0
✅ No security vulnerabilities detected
✅ Whitelist approach maintains security (explicit only, no wildcard)

### Consistency Check
✅ Matches reference implementation in `agent-executor.ts` (lines 329-349)
✅ All Redis-related variables now consistent across both files
✅ No variables removed from existing whitelist

## Impact
- **Scope:** CLI mode agent spawning (`cfn-spawn` command)
- **Affected Components:** All spawned workers in CLI mode
- **Breaking Changes:** None (fix only)
- **Rollout:** Immediate (no migration required)

## Testing
Manual verification confirms the whitelist in both files is now identical:
- Agent spawning: `agent-spawn.ts` lines 274-294
- Agent execution: `agent-executor.ts` lines 329-349
