## ๐ฏ Overview
Successfully fixed 4 critical issues that were preventing Claude-Collab from being production-ready.

**Problem**: `ConnectionManager is not defined` error in CLI tools
**Solution**:
- Rewrote `cli/connection-helper.js` to use WebSocket directly
- Added proper reconnection with exponential backoff
- Implemented message queuing during disconnection
- Added clear error messages for different connection failures
**Files Modified**:
- `cli/connection-helper.js`
### 2. Identity Manager - JSON Validation & Recovery
**Problem**: Corrupted `identities.json` crashed the server
**Solution**:
- Added robust JSON parsing with try-catch
- Implemented automatic backup/restore mechanism
- Added field validation for each identity
- Use atomic file writes (temp file โ rename)
- Added recovery from backup if main file corrupted
**Files Modified**:

- Use JSON.stringify for config objects
- Safely interpolate all user input in generated scripts
**Files Modified**:
- `cli/swarm-manager.js`
### 4. Examples - Correct Message Formats

- Implemented proper register โ close โ auth flow
- Updated all example files with working code
**Files Modified**:
- `examples/simple-demo.js`

## ๐งช Test Results
Created comprehensive test suite (`test-fixes.js`):
- โ
Connection helper works without ConnectionManager
- โ
Registration and authentication flow works correctly
- โ
Swarm handles quotes in objectives without syntax errors
- โ
JSON recovery mechanism successfully recovers from corruption
## ๐ฆ Version Update
- Bumped version from 3.4.0 to 3.4.1
- Updated CHANGELOG.md with all fixes
- Ready for npm publish
## ๐ Next Steps
While the critical bugs are fixed, these improvements could be added:
1. HTTP health check endpoint for better monitoring
2. More comprehensive integration tests
3. Troubleshooting documentation
4. Improved error recovery in more edge cases
## ๐ก Key Takeaway
Claude-Collab is now significantly more stable and production-ready. The fixes address real-world usage scenarios and make the tool practical for actual development teams.
