## Consolidation Recommendations
### Phase 1: High Impact Consolidations (Immediate)
1. **Consolidate Cleanroom Tests**
- **Action**: Replace 8 redundant cleanroom test files with 1 consolidated file
- **Impact**: 92.5% reduction in cleanroom test code
- **Benefit**: Eliminates duplicate setup/teardown, reduces maintenance overhead
2. **Consolidate Command Tests**
- **Action**: Replace 5 command-specific test files with 1 consolidated file
- **Impact**: 59.7% reduction in command test code
- **Benefit**: Unified command testing approach, easier to maintain
### Phase 2: Medium Impact Consolidations (Next Sprint)
3. **Consolidate README Tests**
- **Action**: Replace 4 README test files with 1 consolidated file
- **Impact**: 83.1% reduction in README test code
- **Benefit**: Streamlined documentation testing
4. **Consolidate Concurrency Tests**
- **Action**: Merge concurrency tests into existing consolidated files
- **Impact**: 100% reduction in dedicated concurrency test files
- **Benefit**: Concurrency testing integrated into main test flows
### Phase 3: Organizational Improvements (Future)
5. **Optimize Test Structure**
- **Action**: Reorganize remaining tests by functionality rather than type
- **Benefit**: More logical test organization
6. **Implement Test Utilities**
- **Action**: Create shared test utilities for common patterns
- **Benefit**: Reduce code duplication across remaining tests
## Implementation Plan
### Immediate Actions (Phase 1)
1. ✅ **Create consolidated cleanroom test file**
2. ✅ **Create consolidated commands test file**
3. **Remove redundant files** (pending user approval)
4. **Update package.json scripts** to reference new files
5. **Update documentation** to reflect new structure
### Next Steps (Phase 2)
1. **Create consolidated README test file**
2. **Merge concurrency tests into existing files**
3. **Remove redundant README files**
