Description: Rendering properties control the rendering processes of DC objects.
Note: Each property may be set declaratively when creating new DC objects, or directly by modifying individual properties on instantiated DC objects.
Declarative Syntax
{
PropertyName1: Value1,
PropertyName2: Value2
// Etc.
}
Direct Syntax
var Value = DC.PropertyName;
DC.PropertyName = Value;
DC Object Properties
Note: The displayed value for each property represents its default value when omitted.
// Set a root node for a DC object.
// This will be used as the target element instead of DC.trigger or DC.targetNode, and will disable auto-positioning.
// DC.root may include a CSS selector string, or a DOM element object.
root: ""
Positioning Properties
Note: if all of these positioning properties are false or undefined, then the DC object will be rendered within DC.root, and all prior content within DC.root will be overwritten.
// Specify that the DC object should be rendered before DC.root.
// True to render before, false or undefined to ignore.
before: false
// Specify that the DC object should be prepended within DC.root.
// True to prepend within, false or undefined to ignore.
prepend: false
// Specify that the DC object should be appended within DC.root.
// True to append within, false or undefined to ignore.
append: false
// Specify that the DC object should be rendered after DC.root.
// True to render after, false or undefined to ignore.
after: false
Note: A function may optionally be used instead of a boolean value if custom positioning is needed during the rendering process. This is true for all of the rendering position properties.
Example 1: Render with standard functionality.
{
id: "UniqueID1",
root: "body",
append: true
}
Example 2: Render with custome functionality.
{
id: "UniqueID2",
root: "body",
append: function(wrapper, rootNode) {
var DC = this;
// Do something with wrapper
}
}
