Package Version Manipulation

# @xutl/json

One [eXtremely Useful Tool Library](https://xutl.es) to handle package versions.

## Install

```bash
npm install --save-dev @xutl/version
```

## Usage

```bash
xutlversion ./package.json # sets the (package.json).version to the lates published
xutlversion ./package.json none # sets the (package.json).version to the lates published
xutlversion ./package.json patch # sets the (package.json).version to the lates published bumped by a patch
xutlversion ./package.json minor # sets the (package.json).version to the lates published bumped by a minor
xutlversion ./package.json major # sets the (package.json).version to the lates published bumped by a major
```

## Code Usage

import JSON from '@xutl/json';
import { getVersion, bump, Mode, Package } from '@xutl/version';

async function main(mode: Mode, file: string) {
	const pkg = (await JSON.read(file)) as Package;
	const { localChanged } = await bump(mode, pkg, 'https://registry.npmjs.com');
	await JSON.write(file, pkg, { whitespace: '\t' });
}
