{{alias}}( [μ, b] ) Returns a Laplace distribution object. Parameters ---------- μ: number (optional) Location parameter. Default: `0.0`. b: number (optional) Scale parameter. Must be greater than `0`. Default: `1.0`. Returns ------- laplace: Object Distribution instance. laplace.mu: number Location parameter. laplace.b: number Scale parameter. If set, the value must be greater than `0`. laplace.entropy: number Read-only property which returns the differential entropy. laplace.kurtosis: number Read-only property which returns the excess kurtosis. laplace.mean: number Read-only property which returns the expected value. laplace.median: number Read-only property which returns the median. laplace.mode: number Read-only property which returns the mode. laplace.skewness: number Read-only property which returns the skewness. laplace.stdev: number Read-only property which returns the standard deviation. laplace.variance: number Read-only property which returns the variance. laplace.cdf: Function Evaluates the cumulative distribution function (CDF). laplace.logcdf: Function Evaluates the natural logarithm of the cumulative distribution function (CDF). laplace.logpdf: Function Evaluates the natural logarithm of the probability density function (PDF). laplace.mgf: Function Evaluates the moment-generating function (MGF). laplace.pdf: Function Evaluates the probability density function (PDF). laplace.quantile: Function Evaluates the quantile function at probability `p`.
