Contains accessibility and keyboard navigation specification of Telerik and Kendo web components.

Out of the box, the {{ site.product }} Popover provides extensive accessibility support and enables users with disabilities to acquire complete control over its features.


The Popover is compliant with the [Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22/) standards and [Section 508](https://www.section508.gov/) requirements, follows the [Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA)](https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/) best practices for implementing the [keyboard navigation](#keyboard-navigation) for its `component` role, provides options for managing its focus and is tested against the most popular screen readers.

## WAI-ARIA


This section lists the selectors, attributes, and behavior patterns supported by the component and its composite elements, if any.

| `.k-popover` | `role=tooltip/dialog` | Announces the tooltip (no focusable content) or dialog (contains focusable elements) role of the component. |
|  | `id` | The element needs an id to be associated with the aria-describedby attribute of the trigger element. |
|  | `aria-describedby=.k-popover id` | Links the popover trigger/anchor element with its corresponding popover container. |
| `.k-popover` | `aria-labelledby=.k-popover-header id` | Links the popover container with the popover header element when there is focusable content. |
|  | `aria-describedby=.k-popover-body id` | Links the popover container with the popover body element when there is focusable content. |
| `.k-popover-header` | `id` | Links the popover container with the popover header element when there is focusable content. |
| `.k-popover-body` | `id` | Links the popover container with the popover body element when there is focusable content. |
