# StaxDB Non-Commercial License

## 1. Grant of License

Matricom ("the Licensor") grants you ("the Licensee") a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use, copy, and distribute the compiled binary object code of this software, StaxDB, and its associated documentation ("the Software") under the following conditions:

### 1.1. Permitted Uses

You are permitted to use the Software for the following purposes only:

*   **Personal Use:** Use by an individual for purposes that are not related to any business, professional activity, or commercial gain.
*   **Educational Use:** Use by students, faculty, and staff of accredited educational institutions for teaching, learning, and academic research purposes.
*   **Evaluation:** Use for the sole purpose of evaluating the Software's suitability for a potential commercial application, for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days.

### 1.2. Prohibited Uses

You are **expressly prohibited** from using the Software for any **Commercial Use**. "Commercial Use" is defined as any use of the Software that is intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation. This includes, but is not limited to:

*   Incorporating the Software into a product or service that is sold, licensed, or otherwise distributed for a fee.
*   Using the Software in a production environment for any business operations, whether internal or external.
*   Using the Software to provide consulting, support, or other services for which you are compensated.
*   Using the Software on behalf of a for-profit entity in any capacity other than for the limited Evaluation purpose described in Section 1.1.

## 2. No Right to Source Code

This license does not grant you any right to the source code of the Software. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Software.

## 3. Commercial Licensing

If you wish to use the Software for any Commercial Use as defined in Section 1.2, you must obtain a separate commercial license from the Licensor. Please contact https://matricom.net for commercial licensing inquiries.

## 4. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
