## TokenService.generateToken() method

Generates a token string based on a user profile

<b>Signature:</b>

generateToken(userProfile: UserProfile): Promise<string>;
```

## Parameters

|  userProfile | <code>UserProfile</code> | A UserProfile for which a token should be generated. |

`Promise<string>`

a generated token/secret for a given UserProfile.
