# @instana/core The package `@instana/core` is the base library for Instana Node.js integrations. It is used as an internal dependency for other Node.js related packages maintained by Instana. You should not add this as a dependency to your applications. Most likely you should be using the package [@instana/collector](https://www.npmjs.com/package/@instana/collector) instead.
