This allows for setting up a channel for each universe, ie. 1 channel with 512 samples for 1 universe. Add multiple channels for multiple universes.\n\n routingtable - Available when using Packet Per Channel Format for Art-Net or sACN. Use the docked to route channels to the appropriate universes. Addresses can be specified by adding rows for each channel and specifying net, subnet, universe, and netaddress. The net, subnet, universe, and netaddress columns are optional and correspond to the DMX Out 's Net, Subnet, Universe, and Network Address parameters respectively. If for example the net column is missing from the Routing Table, the Net parameter is used instead.\nWhen removing the Routing Table from the parameter, the specified address will be used for the first channel while all other channels are assigned to consecutive addresses.\nNote: For sACN the first available universe has the index 1 as universe 0 is reserved by the system for future use.\n\n\n\n sendartsync - When enabled will send out ArtSync packets. ArtSync packets are used to synchronize multiple universes together.\n\n\n\n device - - Select a DMX device from the menu.\n\n * -\n\n serialport - - When the Interface parameter is set to Generic Serial this parameter lets you select which Serial (COM) port to use.\n\n com1 - com3 -\n\n rate - How often data is sent to the device (per second).\n WARNING: DMX512 devices have a maximum refresh rate of 44Hz. It is recommended that Rate <= 44 for reliable performance.\n\n\n\n\n net - When the Interface parameter is set to Art-Net, this sets the net address. A net is a groups of 16 consecutive subnets or 256 consecutive universes. The range for this parameter is 0-127. This is not a network IP address.\n\n\n\n subnet - When the Interface parameter is set to Art-Net, this sets the subnet address. A subnet is a group of 16 consecutive universes. The range for this parameter is 0-15. This is not a network subnet mask.\n\n\n\n universe - When the Interface parameter is set to Art-Net, this sets the universe address. A single DMX512 frame of 512 channels is referred to as a universe. The range for this parameter is 0-15.\n\n\n\n universe - When the Interface parameter is set to Art-Net, this sets the universe address. When disabled, the port will be the broadcast port: 255.\n\n\n\n kinetport - Specifies the port for KiNET v2 interface.\n\n\n\n\n\n multicast - Enable multicast for sACN. Multicast automatically builds the IP based on Net, Subnet, and Universe of the device. This allows for sending to multiple devices at once by specifying multiple universes.\n\n\n\n netaddress - Specify the IP address to use when Interface is set to Art-Net. This address corresponds to the receiving device address. When the address is set to its default 255.255.255.255, the messages are instead broadcast to all devices on the network. The Art-Net Net, Subnet and Universe of the receiving devices must still match those specified in the DMX Out in all cases.\n\n\n\n localaddress - - When the sending machine is equipped with multiple network adapters, this parameter can be used to choose which adapter to send the data from by specifying its IP address here.\n\n 192.168.0.102 -\n\n localport - In rare cases it can be necessary to supply a custom port from which the data should be sent. "description": "The DMX Out sends channels to DMX, Art-Net, sACN, KiNET, or FTDI devices. Channel values for DMX are 0-255. \t\t\nThe first channel you send into the DMX Out will correspond to the first DMX address (DMX channel) As you add channels to the DMX Out, you will access the next DMX channels in order. For example, if you input 12 channels into the DMX out, you will be controlling DMX channels 1 thru 12.\t\t\t\nThe DMX in TouchDesigner was developed on the ENTTEC device, namely their DMX USB Pro and DMX over Ethernet devices, but it should work for many devices and software that support DMX/Art-Net/sACN/KiNET.\t\t\t\nA Routing Table can be provided in a where addresses can be specified by adding rows for each channel and specifying net, subnet and universe. \t\t\t\nENTTEC NOTE: - Use ENTTEC's NMU (Node Management Utility) to configure and inspect the ENTTEC devices found on your network. \t\t\t\nmacOS NOTE: - ENTTEC USB Pro may not connect automatically, to enable it enter the following command in the Terminal:\t\t\t\nsudo kextunload -b com.apple.driver.AppleUSBFTDI\nTip: See the OP Snippets for setup and usage examples.\nTip: Use WireShark to watch your DMX network traffic.\n\t\t\t\nSee also: Art-Net, sACN, DMX In CHOP, DMX\ndmxoutCHOP_Class\n\nContents\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n active - Connects to the device while On.\n\n\n\n interface - - Select the type of interface to connect to the device with.\n\n serial - Uses the operating system's serial calls to write data. enttecusbpro - enttecusbpromk2 - artnet - Sets the interface to Art-Net protocol. sacn - Sets the interface to sACN protocol. kinet - Sets the interface to KiNET protocol.\n\n kinetversion - - Set the version of the KiNET protocol to use.\n\n v1 - v2 -\n\n format - - Select between sending Packet Per Sample or Packet Per .\n\n packetpersample - Each channel acts as a DMX channel, ie. 512 channels for 1 universe. packetperchan - Each sample in a channel acts as a DMX channel. A single DMX512 frame of 512 channels is referred to as a universe. The range for this parameter is 0-15.\n\n\n\n cid - The unique ID of the sender.\n\n\n\n source - User assigned name of source (for informative purposes).\n\n\n\n priority - The priority of the data being sent, if there are multiple sources.\n\n\n\n customkinetport - When enabled, can specify a custom port for the KiNET v2 interface. The default of -1 means the O/S assigned port is being used.\n\n\n\n customport - Enable the Network Port parameter to specify the port of the receiving hardware.\n\n\n\n netport - Let's you specify the port of the receiving hardware. By default and the spec of ArtNet this is set to 6454 and should only be changed in rare cases.\n\n\n\n\n\n timeslice - Turning this on forces the channels to be \"Time Sliced\". A is the time between the last cook frame and the current cook frame.\n\n\n\n scope - To determine which channels get affected, some CHOPs use a string on the Common page. See Pattern Matching.\n\n\n\n srselect - - Handle cases where multiple input CHOPs' sample rates are different. When Resampling occurs, the curves are interpolated according to the Interpolation Method Option, or \"Linear\" if the Interpolate Options are not available.\n\n first - Use rate of first input to resample others. max - Resample to the highest sample rate. min - Resample to the lowest sample rate. err - Doesn't accept conflicting sample rates.\n\n exportmethod - - This will determine how to connect the channel to the parameter. Refer to the Export article for more information.\n\n datindex - Uses the docked table and references the channel via the index of the channel in the . datname - Uses the docked table and references the channel via the name of the channel in the . autoname - The channel is the full destination of where to export to, such has geo1/transform1:tx.\n\n autoexportroot - This path points to the root node where all of the paths that exporting by Channel Name is : are relative to.\n\n\n\n exporttable - The used to hold the export information when using the Table Methods (See above).\n\n\n\n\n\n -\n\nExtra Information for the DMX Out can be accessed via an Info CHOP.\n\n\n\n - Start of the interval in samples. - Number of samples in the . - The samplerate of the channels in frames per second. - Number of channels in the . - 1 if is enabled, 0 otherwise. - A count of how often the export connections have been updated.\n - Number of times the operator has cooked since the process started. - Duration of the last cook in milliseconds. - Frame number when this operator was last cooked relative to the component timeline. - Frame number when this operator was last cooked relative to the absolute time. - Time in milliseconds at which the operator started cooking in the frame it was cooked. - Time in milliseconds at which the operator finished cooking in the frame it was cooked. - 1 if operator was cooked this frame. - Number of warnings in this operator if any. - Number of errors in this operator if any.\nTouchDesigner Build: Latest\\nwikieditorwikieditor2022.241402021.100002018.28070before 2018.28070\nCHOPs\n• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • \n\nAn Operator Family which operate on Channels (a sequence of numbers (Samples)) which are used for animation, audio, mathematics, simulation, logic, UI construction, and data streamed from/to devices and protocols.\n\n\n\nAn Operator Family that manipulates text strings: multi-line text or tables. Multi-line text is often a python Script or GLSL Shader, but can be any multi-line text. Tables are rows and columns of cells, each containing a text string.\n\n\n\nA CHOP outputs one or more channels, where a channel is simply a sequence of numbers (Samples), representing motion, audio, etc. Channels are passed between CHOPs in TouchDesigner networks. Channels can be Exported to Parameters.\n\n\n\nsamples-per-second of a CHOP. Each CHOP in your network has a sample rate. In contrast, the overall timeline has a Frame Rate, which is the number of frames to cook and display per second, generally your monitor display frequency, default 60.\n\n\n\nExporting is the connection of CHOP channels to parameters of operators. The output of each exporting CHOP is one or more channels, active only while the CHOP Viewer is on. The current value of a channel can be exported to a parameter of any operator, overriding that parameter's value.
