"description": "# Green Invoice API\n\n\n\n## Overview\n\n### Endpoint URL\n\nGreen Invoice system includes multiple environments, each environment serves a different purpose.\n\nThe environments have different databases & API keys - which means that data generated on one environment won't be available on another.\n\n- **Sandbox**: This environment is used for testing, so that you can do whatever you want without destroying your own data. This environment includes the latest updates for our system. In order to use this environment you have to create a new user (just like in the regular / production site) in the environment at: <https://sandbox.d.greeninvoice.co.il/signup>.\nNote: There is no need to enter your credit card information when adding a subscription as we use a demo credit card to add a sandbox subscription for you. \nThe base URL for the API interaction is `https://sandbox.d.greeninvoice.co.il/api/v1/`.\n\n- **Production**: This environment is the default one. The base URL for the API interaction is `https://www.greeninvoice.co.il/api/v1/`.\n\n### Authorization\n\nMost of the requests to Green Invoice’s API require you to authenticate yourself to the service (this excludes the login and tools endpoints). In order to do this you must send the correct HTTP header with the correct JSON Web Token (JWT).\n\nThis `Authorization` header is the header that will be used for authorizing your access to your account resources and it allows our system to decide which permissions are granted. The header also contains information regarding the active business.\n\nThe `Authorization` header is obtained by making a request to [`/account/login`](#account-login) or [`/account/token`](#account-token) endpoints of the API as explained in their corresponding sections.\n\nThe `Authorization` header structure is as follows: `Authorization: Bearer {JWT}`, where {JWT} is the JSON Web Token.\n\n**NOTE**: There are 2 different `Authorization` types - `Bearer` and `Basic`. If you are a partner, some of the endpoint you will use will require you to state your `Authorization` code as `Basic`, else - use `Bearer`. \n\n### HTTP response codes\n\n- **200 — Success** Everything went smooth.\n\n- **400 — Bad Request** Their was a validation error with the input.\n\n- **401 — Unauthorized** Missing or incorrect JSON Web Token (JWT) in `Authorization` header.\n\n- **403 — Forbidden** You are trying to request a resource you aren't allowed to.\n\n- **404 — Not Found** One or more of the required resources was not found, or you do not own the resource.\n\n- **500 — Internal Server Error** This is an issue with Green Invoice’s servers processing your request. It's a tool that allows developers to make HTTP requests extremely easy, save examples, work under different environments, we LOVE it!\n\nPostman is downloadable for free use from [here](https://www.getpostman.com/) and supported with lots of developer docs [here](https://www.getpostman.com/docs/).\n\nWe are providing you the full collection of this API for your usage with Postman, this collection includes examples of different requests & responses, the endpoints, documentation to immensely ease your interaction with our API.\n\nAfter downloading Postman click on the following button to download our collection:\n\n[](https://app.getpostman.com/run-collection/3f242486742f2f5eeec1)\n\n### Generate code using Postman\n\nPostman allows for easy code generation to use with your favorite language.\n\nAfter downloading and using our Postman collection follow the GIF below to generate the code for your used language:\n\n\n\n\n## Webhooks (Callback URLs)\n\nSome parameters in our API send webhooks (also called Callback URLs, Notification URL) to a defined URL.\n\nWebhooks is a way for third party systems to get notified regarding an event that occurred in our system.\n\nOnce you as a third party system have subscribed to listen to a specific event (e.g.: a document has finished processing), and that event occurred - your subscribed callback URL will be notified with information regarding the event.\n\n**NOTE**: Due to our system state-less characteristics we do not have a static IP that you can whitelist.\n\n### Inspecting Webhooks for Local Development\n\nYou might have noticed that receiving these webhooks to a local development machine is impossible due to your local development machine not being visible in the public net.\n\nThere is an easy fix for that - using interceptor websites.\n\nWebsites such as <https://webhook.site> can intercept a webhook from our servers and let you inspect the received information.\n\nTo use them - just create a URL and assign the callback parameter with the given URL. Once our servers have finished processing your request, they will send a webhook notification to that interceptor callback URL, and you - will be able to inspect the data, just as shown in the image below:\n\n\n\nAn alternative, better solution is to use [ngrok](https://ngrok.com/), which is a bit more advanced so we will not cover it on this guide.",
